Job Description

This is an hourly, full-time position working 32+ hours per week on-site in an office in Asheville, NC.


The F&B Assistant Operations Analyst is responsible for the analysis of all major department records and reports, including: F&B Daily Flash, all department DSRs, Shift Reports, Weekly Tip Payout Reports, Kronos Weekly Labor, and all Weekly/Monthly Metrics Reports for estate and lodging F&B locations. The primary responsibilities of this position include department financial tracking and analysis as well as general ledger accounting duties, payroll and Kronos workforce management, staff support with all HR related processes, and to support the F&B Operations Analyst as well as Department Directors and VP. This person must be capable of handling confidential information and material. Attention to detail is key.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Over-see all major financial reporting needs for the department, including operational analysis of daily DSR and flash updates; weekly labor and sales analysis; metrics reports and analysis; monthly general ledger processes; and other reporting needs as they arise
2. Develop, maintain and analyze department tracking and reporting tools
3. Provide GMs with up to date labor analysis to aid in maintaining profit goals
4. Provide analysis of current sales and costs of goods trends for GMs/Directors to set pricing, menu mix, and seasonal hours across estate and lodging F&B operations
5. Work with accounting and purchasing departments on all month-end financial processes and provide leaders with historical profit analytics across business units
6. Manage Workday and Adaptive financial reporting
7. Full responsibility for all department payroll functions, including labor detail analysis
8. Prepare and support GMs/Directors in the annual budgeting process as well as weekly/monthly forecasting
9. Provide Vice President with weekly metrics, labor, and financial forecast analysis

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Maintain F&B department Datavision and Micros reporting and functionality
2. Lead the development (and updates) for F&B admin team SOPs
3. Assist purchasing team with routine Eatec data entry, invoice processing, etc 
4. Report out to management team on customer service-related ratings, guest comments, etc (CSM, Open Table, Coyle)
5. Serve as central liaison with Human Resources to support all on-boarding & off-boarding processes and procedures
6. General assistance and support for leadership, department, and company
7. Additional administrative duties for estate and lodging F&B

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma. Additional education, training, and/or certification(s) preferred.
2. At least three (2) years of experience in accounting and/or hospitality administration. Equivalent combination of education/experience considered. Ideal candidate will have related food and beverage and/or accounting background      
3.  High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and complex spreadsheets; ability to read, build and maintain Excel macros with VBA editor; use if Excel Power Query to export data and transform corporate reports.
4. General ledger and/or cost accounting background preferred; ability to quickly learn Biltmore's systems and procedures, as well as products and services.
5. Experience with Eatec, Workday, Adaptive and other business analysis software a plus
6. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; analytic skills; ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively to various audiences
7. Excellent planning, organizational, time and project management skills; keen attention to details with focus on quality, accuracy, and service; prioritizes work, adapts.


 

Physical Requirements:

1. The incumbent will work in an office environment.
2. Must be able to climb stairs.
3. The incumbent will be required to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
4. Remain sitting for 70% of the shift.
5. Utilize office equipment throughout shift.
