Job Summary:

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. With little supervision diagnose and repair most electrical and plumbing malfunction that would normally occur within a home or small business. Perform maintenance tasks that require minimum skills to correct deficiencies occurring to the interior and exterior of the building structure, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Normal working hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. However, you may be assigned on call duty during operating season as a Maintenance Manager on Duty (MMOD)

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $19.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance and tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Help maintain an adequate inventory of materials, equipment and tools required to perform routine tasks without delays.
  • All employees will actively participate in training, observe company policies and procedures, and promote all company values relative to protecting the natural environment.
  • Insure that all work is performed in a safe manner in a safe environment.
  • Maintenance Department staff members will be assigned other technical work within the department when maintenance crises occur within the company or work in their particular technical field is temporarily or permanently reduced. This job summary is intended as a guide, it is not an all-inclusive job description.
  • May be required to work different shift schedules including one to two evening shifts per week.
  • Must clean up your job site and work area when finished with the assigned task.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements: 

  • High School graduate
  • Must have experience with general maintenance including one of the following areas: electrical,
    plumbing, general maintenance, carpentry, locksmithing, or automotive repair.:
  • Valid driver’s license, Successful completion of MVR
  • Use of a tablet and smart phone
  • English

Other Requirements: 

  • Prefer experience maintaining facilities for the hospitality industry, schools, retirement centers, or hospitals.
  • Experience driving a skid steer or backhoe is encouraged but not mandatory.
  • We are looking for employees with a broad skillset and a willingness to learn and who enjoy being part of a small team.
  • All tools will be provided by Flagg, but if you have your own tools you prefer to use, you are welcome to bring them.
