Basketball Instructor (After School) – Tampa, FL (Hillsborough County)

Location: Tampa, Florida (Hillsborough County)

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring enthusiastic and dependable After-School Basketball Instructors to lead fun, engaging basketball programs for elementary-aged students throughout Tampa and Hillsborough County.

If you enjoy coaching, mentoring, and helping children build basketball skills while developing confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship, we#39;d love to hear from you. Whether you#39;re an experienced coach, former player, teacher, college student, or simply passionate about working with kids, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in your community.

Position Details

  • Part-time, after-school position

  • Monday through Friday

  • Between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM

  • 1.5-hour sessions

  • $37.50 per session ($25 per hour)

  • No weekends

  • No lesson planning required

  • Curriculum and equipment provided

  • Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students

  • Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development

  • Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

  • Basketball playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required

  • Experience working with children is a plus

  • Comfortable working with students in grades K–5

  • Reliable transportation to schools throughout Tampa and Hillsborough County

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process
