Job description

Pulmonology Opportunity
Reason for opening
Looking to add to Pulmonologist/CC to busy practice and inpatient rounding. Must be Sleep Trained. Must be a Team Player, have positive attitude and be able to handle volume.
Number of patients
18-20 a day
Schedule (in office and hospital)
Private Practice can be flexible 9am-4:30pm or 8:30am-12pm and 1-3pm for procedures.
Type of Inpatient Work
Bronchoscopy, 23 bed consult for all medical ICU, but not trauma. Open ICU consults, but Pulm consults on the floor.
Access to specialists
We are a multispecialty clinic, with 23 specialty areas of medicine. Complex cases referred to UAB Shands (very rare)
Size of practice
Number of Pulmonology physicians: 4
APCs: 3 (NP see all hospital floor follow-ups). 2 other independent solo physicians in area.
Office call
Hospital call
Between 4 docs, 1 wk rotation. Thurs-Weds includes weekend (24 hours) dependent on hospital volume. May also book office visits when low hospital volume. They work as a team to help when needed.

Floren Thesis, Pleurex Catheter drainage, Rhinos copy
Payor Mix
Seasonal Snowbirds in winter and Summer is younger groups (tourists)
