Summary of Job Duties:The Seasonal Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance of outdoor areas throughout Campus from April through September. This includes mowing lawns, weed eating, cleaning flower beds, and using a blower to clear sidewalks and other walkways. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently outdoors in various weather conditions.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Ability to effectively communicate to be able to perform job duties

  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field

  • Valid Driver's License in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the use of push mowers, riding lawn mowers, weed eaters

  • Ability to operate push mowers, riding lawn mowers, weed eaters

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision

  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and to prioritize assignments

  • Ability to perform repetitive manual work

  • Ability to do required lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
