The Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management Program invites applications for instructors to teach non-credit courses (multi-hour sessions) to adult learners on our New Brunswick campus via in-person and/or online formats. We are seeking industry professionals and subject matter experts who want to join our team of renowned instructors and share their knowledge with our participants in our world-class learning center. We have trained thousands of successful greenskeepers and groundskeepers from across the country and around the world with our practical, real-world concepts of turfgrass and team management. Instructors will develop and present course material during the assigned course times, coordinate materials with the Program Coordinator, and follow-up with necessary paperwork. We welcome new course ideas to broaden the knowledge of our turf professionals and keep them up to date with current and future industry trends. Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Also requires a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication/facilitation techniques. Computer literacy and familiarity with the development and facilitation of online instruction. Experienced in delivering live-online training/workshops/programs/classes via Zoom, Webex, or other virtual platforms.
