Job description

New Berlin Hills Golf Course, located in New Berlin, WI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stocks the bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
  • Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
  • Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
  • Reviews the banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
  • Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.
  • Occasionally serves meals to guests.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Knowledge/Skill:
  • Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Valid New Berlin or Wisconsin bartender license required, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Alcohol Awareness Training.

Environment/Noise:
  • Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions, including warm, cold, wet, and dry.
