Job description

The Sonnenalp Golf Club in Edwards is seeking seasonal Golf Maintenance team members to support the care, upkeep, and presentation of the golf course. This seasonal position runs through October 31st.
Typical Schedule
Through October 31st, 2026. Full and part-time positions available. Start times change during the golf season based on sunrise.
Full Time: 40-hour workweek, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. Overtime is needed during tournaments and peak maintenance periods. Typical workdays are from 5:30 AM until 2:00 PM.
Part-Time: Flexible schedule, 10-30 hours per week. Typical workdays are from 5:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
Wage Range: $21.00-26.50/hour depending on experience
Application Deadline: This position will remain open until September 15th or until filled.
Primary Purpose of Position
Under the guidance of the Golf Course Superintendent, assists with various tasks related to golf course maintenance and construction. Learns the safe, efficient, and proper operation of a wide range of equipment. Works collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the best possible course conditions and appearance at Sonnenalp Club.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • General mowing of all golf course grounds
  • Trim mowing and string trimming
  • Bunker raking, and bunker maintenance
  • Safe operation of all turf equipment
  • Hand watering
  • Golf course set-up and cup cutting
  • Fly mowing and trimming irrigation heads
  • Assistance in construction and irrigation projects
  • Fertilizer, pesticide, fungicide product application

Education/Experience
  • Golf Maintenance or Landscaping experience preferred.
  • Willing to train individuals with no prior golf maintenance experience.

Special Skills/Equipment
  • Ability to learn to operate golf course equipment safely and efficiently,
  • Ability to follow both written and oral directions,
  • Must be able to work weekends and long hours as business permits.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential to this position. Individuals must be able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends.

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather and temperature conditions (snow, wind, rain, warm and cold).
