Lakeside Foods is looking for Seasonal General Laborers from June 1 through November 20th (estimated timeframe).

Plant Job Tasks include:

(Machine Operators, Floor Attendants, Quality Assurance Technicians, Forklift Operators, Assistant Lead persons and Sanitation Technicians)

  • Basic functional operation of plant machinery, such as operating On/Off, Speed of Control, Monitoring Machine Progress, and Keeping Machine Capacity filled, etc.
  • Basic & proficient functional operation of Forklifts, for those qualified and certified to perform this specific operation, including the transport, stacking & unstacking.
  • Basic comprehension of operational data functions, taking various measurements, making basic calculations and the accurate documentation of such data.
  • Utilize, Apply, & Store supplies and materials as needed for operational functions.
  • Performs cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.
  • Assist Lead persons with directing other seasonal employees in completing assigned job tasks as needed.
  • Ability to follow direction given by Lead persons, Supervisors and Management.
  • Ability to work at a proficient pace, be self-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout entire shift.
  • Follow all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation & Job Training, and complete all job tasks with Employee Safety as #1 priority at all times.
  • Report any Employee Safety, Food Safety and Production hazards or concerns immediately to Leadsperson, Supervisor or Management.

Field Job Tasks include:

(Field Harvest Operators, Spotter Truck Operators, and Waste Tractor Operators)

  • The Safe and Proficient Operation of Field Equipment listed.
  • Ensure that the Field Equipment utilized for Operation is in proper working condition, which includes; checking fluids, changing fluids, lubricating equipment, checking tires, etc.
  • Ensure that the Field Equipment utilized for Operation is safely prepared for operation, which includes; all parts are intact and operational, mirrors are clean, windows are clean, etc. 
  • Assist Lead persons with directing other seasonal employees in completing assigned job tasks as needed.
  • Ability to follow direction given by Lead persons, Supervisors and Management.
  • Ability to work at a proficient pace, be self-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout entire shift.
  • Follow all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation & Job Training, and complete all job tasks with Employee Safety as #1 priority at all times.
  • Report any Employee Safety, Food Safety and Production hazards or concerns immediately to Leadsperson, Supervisor or Management.

Warehouse Job Tasks include:

(Warehouse Forklift Operators)

  • Basic & proficient functional operation of Forklifts in Warehouse, to transport supplies, materials and product.  This includes stacking and unstacking of these materials.
  • Assist Full time Warehouse employees with various job duties as needed, such as loading & unloading trucks, picking orders and preparing them for loading, which includes operating a stretch wrapper to wrap pallets of product.
  • Basic comprehension of operational data functions, and the accurate documentation of such data.
  • Ability to follow direction given by Lead persons, Supervisors and Management.
  • Ability to work at a proficient pace, be self-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout entire shift.
  • Follow all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation & Job Training, and complete all job tasks with Employee Safety as #1 priority at all times.
  • Report any Employee Safety, Food Safety and Production hazards or concerns immediately to Leadsperson, Supervisor or Management.
