Job description

Job Title: Supervisor
Job Department: Play
Job Pay Range: $28.00 - $36.00 / hour (Inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge)
  • Breakdown: Based on $12.00 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $16.00 - $24.00 per hour. Service charges fluctuate based on the time of year.
  • This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.

Job Summary:
As a Play Supervisor, you will supervise shift execution, guest relations, and staff performance in a combined entertainment and dining environment. Ensure high standards of safety, hospitality, and operational flow between the kitchen, bar, and bowling counter; and managing shift logistics to drive sales and satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Manage opening and closing procedures and monitor lane and restaurant pacing.
  • Greet guests, assist lane rentals or food orders, and resolve service or technical issues promptly.
  • Supervise front-of-house, kitchen, and lane attendants; direct shift assignments, and handle on-the-floor training for proper service.
  • Monitor food and beverages quality, track inventory, and ensure smooth delivery to bowling lanes or dining tales.
  • Report or handle basic lane/pinsetter equipment issues and maintain clean, hazard-free public spaces.
  • Check reservations for special parties and verify complete instructions for said parties. Block space in Guest Bridge and Rest Pak computer system to accommodate hours of reservations, operations, special events, and place reservations in the "Guest Itinerary".
  • Present menu to the guests, offer recommendations and descriptions for the purpose of assisting and upselling the menu.
  • Effectively use the AS400 system to order products and supplies as necessary.
  • Conduct monthly food and beverage inventory.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor's history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree form 4-year college or university.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or supervise is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • Ability to directly supervise employees in Play, carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation, email communication, accounting software, inventory software, payroll system, and order processing systems.
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
