What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Seasonal Spooky Tours Extra is responsible for creating an engaging, entertaining, and immersive experience for guests during the Halloween season. This position performs as a costumed character, creature, or background performer and interacts with guests in a fun, energetic, and appropriate manner. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing in front of large groups, enjoys entertaining others, and can remain in character while working in a fast-paced, outdoor or indoor environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Portray assigned spooky, Halloween-themed, or theatrical characters in a professional and entertaining manner.
  • Interact with guests through character-based performances, gestures, facial expressions, movement, and appropriate verbal interactions.
  • Create an exciting and immersive atmosphere while maintaining a welcoming guest experience.
  • Follow direction from supervisors, event coordinators, and entertainment staff regarding character development, performance expectations, and assigned areas.
  • Remain in character for extended periods while performing assigned duties.
  • Participate in rehearsals, training sessions, character development, and event preparation as required.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all safety procedures while performing.
  • Appropriately startle, surprise, or entertain guests while respecting personal boundaries and established event guidelines.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe performance area.
  • Work collaboratively with other performers, event staff, Security, and operational departments.
  • Respond appropriately to guest questions or concerns and notify a supervisor when assistance is needed.
  • Follow all costume, makeup, appearance, and performance requirements associated with the assigned character.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive guest relations before, during, and after performances.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous acting, entertainment, theater, haunted attraction, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with guests and performing in a public setting.
  • Must demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to engage an audience.
  • Ability to follow direction and remain in character throughout assigned performances.
  • Must be comfortable working in costumes, makeup, masks, special effects, or other theatrical attire, as applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and maintain appropriate conduct when interacting with guests.
  • Must be dependable and able to work the scheduled seasonal/event shifts.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or move for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements and character-based physical activities.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions, depending on the event location.
  • Ability to wear costumes, makeup, masks, or other performance-related equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely navigate assigned performance areas, including dimly lit or uneven environments.
  • Physical requirements may vary depending on the assigned character or performance area.
