Job description

A Mountain Operations Crew Member will work to help maintain the facilities, grounds and equipment at Mohawk Mountain Ski Area. They will work as part of a team, to provide the highest quality experience for visitors at Mohawk Mountain. This position is a physically demanding position that requires being in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time and requires timely and reliable attendance.

With a significant portion of the job being done behind the scenes, this position also requires the ability to interface with guests and provide a positive customer service experience should the situation arise. A Mountain Operations employee duties may include, but are not limited to: -Setting up, maintaining, and breaking down snow making equipment -Ensuring that terrain and access points to the Mountain and buildings are safe to open to the public at the beginning of every day -Operating equipment to complete various tasks such as: snow removal, sanding, lawn mowing, land clearing, construction and repair of buildings, loading passengers on ski lifts, etc -Perform regular prechecks and maintenance on all equipment and facilities A Mountain Operations employee must: Be able to work well with a crew and self-motivated enough to work alone for extended periods of time Be able to follow verbal directions accurately Be able to negotiate rough and slippery terrain at a substantial grade Be able to work long hours in extreme weather conditions Lift pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Must be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time. This position is offered for Full Time or Part time seasonal (September though April) Mountain Ops Crew Members are entitled to all Mountain Benefits (Complimentary skiing/snowbaording, complimentary and discounted guest tickets, meal benefits while open, discounted retail, workshop & rental items) For Full Time Mountain Ops Crew Members, options for Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) and 401K plus matching are available.

Summer schedule consists of Four 10 hr shifts, Monday through Thursday from 7a-5p. Fall & Spring schedule consists of Five 10 hr shifts from approximately 7a-5p, Monday - Friday. Winter/Operating Schedule consists of Five to Seven 10-12 hr shifts Monday - Sunday with significant OT opportunity.

Pay is based on skills, experience and availability and is neogtiable during the interview and onboarding process. $17-$25 /hr
