Reporting to the Fitness Supervisor, this position plays a key role in supporting the recruitment, hiring, training, and management of a high-quality Group Fitness team. This role is responsible for leading a comprehensive Group Fitness program that promotes safe, effective, and evidence-based exercise experiences aligned with the facility's health and wellness mission. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing the group fitness schedule; supervising instructors, and ensuring adequate class coverage by securing substitutes as needed.

The Coordinator maintains all group fitness studios and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and clinically appropriate environment by conducting routine inspections and managing inventory. The position also plans, implements, and evaluates both complimentary and fee-based programs, supporting member engagement, health outcomes, and retention. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of the annual program plan and budget; designing and administering participant satisfaction surveys; analyzing participation and performance data; and submitting monthly and statistical reports.

The Coordinator collaborates with other departments to develop facility-wide events and integrated wellness initiatives that support member retention and overall health improvement. This position frequently interacts with members, patients, and guests to address program questions, feedback, concerns, and suggestions in a professional and service-oriented manner, reflecting the standards of a medical fitness environment. A flexible schedule is required, including evening hours, rotating weekends, and holiday coverage as needed.

The Group Fitness Coordinator also serves as Manager on Duty and/or provides Fitness Desk supervision when needed or assigned. Job Responsibilities: Coordinating and managing the group fitness schedule; ensuring adequate class coverage by securing substitutes as needed. Finding Sub Coverages, Group Fitness Tracking, Developing Quarterly (Seasonal)Group Fitness Schedules and providing member engagement programs and events, Every Quarter critique instructors and give feedback in the moment and/or review to help improve customer experience.

Member Education: Developing Quarterly (Seasonal)Group Fitness Schedules, Research current trends and implement new ideas Management: Rotation of MOD (Manager on Duty) and Fitness Floor Coverages, New member sign ups/terminations and all other MOD duties assigned. Revenue: Meet or Exceed Group Fitness FY Budget Yearly. Building Seasonal Business Plans with the program team.

Coverage: Fill in Sub Coverage when needed and other department locations assigned to assist Manager on Duty.
