Job Title: Powertrain & Chassis Product Engineering International Intern (Spring 2027)

Description:
  • Interfacing between onsite production and design in Germany for the areas of powertrain, driving dynamics, digital, and electrical harness.
  • Analyzing and problem-solving of design-related issues affecting production.
  • Hands-on support with line trials, concept validation, and implementation of hardware changes.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
  • Directing problem-solving teams within the plant as a design representative.
  • Running and steering projects and problem-solving teams to address unforeseen production challenges.
  • Steering and organizing line-trials in collaboration with design and production.
  • Keeping our team Confluence (Wiki) content up to date.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification:
  • Engineering degree (mechanical or automotive preferred).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizing talent.
  • Openness and determination in finding and implementing the best solutions for BMW.
  • Work Term Dates: March 8th, 2027- September 17th, 2027.
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
  • Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • Must provide the following paperwork in English:
    • Curriculum Vitae/Resume.
    • Last University Performance Record.
    • Cover letter (not required).
    • Relevant references and certificates (not required).
