Job description

Seasonal Operating Room Technician

Responsibilities: Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.

Stipulations: • May not have worked for any FDRMC facility for the past 6 months; • Seasonal OR Tech's will be required to float to other areas where they are deemed competent to work; • Seasonal OR Tech's will be required to be available to work at least four (4) full week-end shifts per month as needed by the hospital. Week-ends are defined as beginning on Friday at 7 p.m. and ending on Monday at 7 a.m.; • Seasonal OR Tech's will be required to be available to work 1 holiday per quarter as assigned by the facility which may include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Easter. • The Seasonal OR Tech status will expire thirteen (13) weeks from the date of hire, at which time your "temporary" employment will expire.

Benefits: As a Seasonal OR Tech you are not eligible for paid time off or extended leave back accruals.

Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited School of Surgical Technologist preferred and/or certification preferred. BLS required. A minimum of at least three years of Operating Room Technician Experience required.
