Job description

Weโ€™re looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead and execute sales & marketing strategies across our hotel group. This person will drive revenue growth by capturing corporate, group, and LNR (Local Negotiated Rate) business across key markets, and be responsible for generating revenue through corporate sales, executing effective marketing campaigns, ensuring a strong digital presence, and coordinating with marketing partners to maintain brand strength and visibility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Leadership

  • Act as the face of GreenTree in your region โ€” building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients through proactive sales calls, networking, and referrals.
  • Travel locally and regionally as necessary to conduct outside sales, attend trade shows and deliver presentations to promote hotels and develop new business.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract and grow corporate accounts, groups, and travel agency business.
  • Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities across industries and regions aligned with each propertyโ€™s profile.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends.
  • Develop targeted sales and marketing plans that drive revenue and increase market share.
  • Conduct sales blitzes in coordination with GMs to drive outreach and visibility within local markets.
  • Train General Managers (GMs) and Front Desk (FD) staff on sales tactics to ensure alignment and maximize revenue at the property level.
  • Maintain accurate information in sales management tool (STS) on all new and ongoing leads and accounts, including solicitation efforts and all activities are complete and documented.
  • Work with General Managers to ensure clientsโ€™ needs are executed perfectly to build lasting relationships and opportunities
  • Craft, present, and negotiate sales contracts with corporate clients, agencies, and group partners.
  • Lead the end-to-end RFP process, including proposal development, pricing strategy, and account follow-up.
  • Participate in revenue management calls to align sales strategy with pricing, demand forecasts, and performance trends.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting on monthly and yearly level.

Marketing, Website & Campaign Management

  • Design and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email campaigns, promotional offers, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
  • Write, design (with agency support), and schedule regular e-newsletters to engage B2B and B2C customer segments.
  • Manage Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad campaigns and track ROI.
  • Develop promotional content (ads, landing pages, social content).
  • Coordinate photo/video shoots for marketing use, ensuring all creative assets align with brand standards.
  • Ensure hotel websites are updated regularly with offers, events, and property information, while applying SEO best practices.
  • Partner with marketing vendors or internal teams to improve site performance and search visibility.

CRM & Loyalty Program Management

  • Serve as the lead owner of the CRM platform, ensuring data integrity, segmentation accuracy, and system optimization.
  • Collaborate with marketing vendors to enhance CRM functionality and integrations.
  • Oversee the hotel groupโ€™s loyalty program, ensuring smooth operations, reward fulfillment, and consistent member communication.
  • Analyze performance metrics for loyalty engagement and recommend improvements to increase sign-ups and repeat stays.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and report on KPIs to executive leadership.
  • Maintain and update a CRM database to track corporate clients, campaigns, and conversion metrics.
  • Provide monthly sales and marketing performance reports and strategic recommendations.
