GD Resources LLC is a federal government contractor providing professional support services to U.S. Government agencies, including the Department of Defense and other federal organizations. We are seeking a qualified Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator to support the United States Army Garrison Hawaii (USAG Hawaii) Religious Support Office (RSO).

The selected candidate will provide administrative and program coordination support for Protestant religious education programs serving Soldiers, military families, and authorized civilians in accordance with Army Regulation 165-1, Religious Support Office policies, and installation religious education procedures.

This is a non-personal services contract position, meaning the contractor operates independently and is not considered a Government employee or member of the Commanderโ€™s or Chaplainโ€™s staff.

Position Summary

The Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator provides administrative, organizational, and operational support to the USAG Hawaii Religious Support Office Protestant Religious Education Program.

The coordinator assists the Garrison Chaplain, Director of Religious Education, and RSO personnel with planning, coordinating, documenting, and executing religious education activities throughout the installation.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple administrative tasks supporting recurring and seasonal religious education programs.

Key ResponsibilitiesReligious Education Program Coordination
  • Support Protestant religious education programs conducted through the USAG Hawaii Religious Support Office.
  • Become familiar with Religious Education (RE) program policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), schedules, concepts of operations, and program requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating recurring and seasonal religious education activities.
  • Support program execution in accordance with Army Regulation 165-1 and Religious Support Office policies.
  • Coordinate with Chaplain Corps personnel, Religious Education leadership, and designated RSO staff.
Administrative Support
  • Prepare, maintain, and track administrative documentation related to Religious Education programs.
  • Develop and maintain monthly calendars of Religious Education events, including:
    • Weekly programs
    • Seasonal activities
    • Special religious events
    • Community activities
  • Prepare facility reservation requests and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain attendance records and program tracking documents.
  • Prepare Religious Education flyers, announcements, and informational materials.
  • Assist with program communications and administrative coordination.
Program Materials and Event Support
  • Assist with preparation of materials required for Religious Education activities.
  • Support printing, copying, organizing, and distribution of program materials.
  • Coordinate availability of supplies and educational resources.
  • Assist with setup and reset of facilities before and after Religious Education events.
  • Ensure program spaces are properly organized and returned to operational condition following activities.
Meetings and Coordination
  • Attend required Religious Support Office meetings related to Religious Education activities.
  • Provide updates regarding program schedules, administrative requirements, and event preparation.
  • Coordinate information between Religious Education personnel and supporting staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with RSO leadership and program stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • Experience providing administrative support, program coordination, or community-based services.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage calendars, schedules, reports, and administrative records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with Government personnel.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications, including:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have experience in:

Work Environment and Schedule

The position supports USAG Hawaii Religious Support Office activities and may require flexibility based on Religious Education programming requirements.

Government business hours are generally:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 0700โ€“1700 hours

However, this position does not follow a traditional Monday-Friday 9:00 AMโ€“5:00 PM schedule.

Work schedules may vary depending on:

  • Religious Education program calendars
  • Special events
  • Meetings
  • Seasonal activities
  • Installation requirements

Some evening, weekend, or holiday support may be required based on approved program schedules.

Federal holidays are observed in accordance with U.S. Government policies unless services are specifically requested by the Contracting Officer.

Security Requirements

Selected personnel must successfully complete required Government background screening.

Required security screening:

  • Tier 1 Background Investigation
  • State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Check

Candidate must be able to meet all installation access requirements prior to assignment.
