Description:


Line Auditor will verify that all packaging components are correct, all date/product coding meet specifications and that the placement of pallet placards and case stickers are located properly before the production of finished product.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Changing product coding information before changing to new product or batch number
  • Programming of new/updated product codes into VideoJet equipment
  • The hourly monitoring/recording of six bottles per hour per line of the following where applicable:
  • Induction seal
  • Closure torque
  • Product appearance
  • Bottle/Case codes
  • Case seal
  • UPC label placement
  • Closure color/style
  • Label orientation
  • Pallet wrap tension
  • Bottle/Closure lot numbers
  • The proper inspection and retention of all inbound closures
  • Stopping production line when a serious deviation from specification is identified and immediately reporting issue to management
  • Management retains maintained at Champion and requesting disposition forms when retains have passed retention period
  • Reporting any quality/production issues identified during the monitoring of production lines
Requirements:


  • Knowledge of 5S Practices
  • Must be able to climb stairs, sit and stand for long periods; type for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills are a plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • The ability to meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Overtime/Weekends/Holidays will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Hours 3pm-11pm OT as needed

Overview:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm M-F OT as needed
  • Overtime/Weekends/Holidays will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
  • 40-50 hours a week- Flexibility with schedule required
  • Operate out of Woodridge, IL
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment safely; must adhere to all safe driving practices and DOT guidelines.
  • The ability to drive and maintain a spotter -moving empty and loaded trailers from dock to yard or yard to docks as assigned
  • Use landing gear to drop trailers; open and close swinging trailer doors and rise and lower roll-up doors
  • Ensures the trailer is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area; ensures trailer doors are closed while not in the dock
  • Perform Daily Pre-and Post-Trip Inspection – Report any vehicle mechanical problems immediately
  • Perform Daily Yard Checks - Inspect and Red Tag “out-of-service” trailers and defective equipment.
  • Arranges trailers in the yard in an orderly and efficient manner
  • Must be willing and able work outdoors in all weather conditions including snow, rain, heat and cold
  • Must be willing and able to operate moving equipment and work around moving equipment
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail while constantly aware of the work surroundings when operating a vehicle
  • Must have the ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently. The physical demands of this position require waling, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, moving, driving, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for any other additional duties as assigned by management.
