Job description

Overview Evidence Solutions, Inc., is seeking an experienced Commercial Trucking Expert Witness to join our multidisciplinary team of experts. This role involves applying extensive trucking industry knowledge to support legal cases through investigation, analysis, and expert testimony. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCSA, DOT, and other federal and state regulations relevant to the trucking industry.

The expert's areas of expertise must include driver standard of care issues, driver qualifications, hours of service issues, HAZMAT, and accidents involving load securement, as well as expertise in dock accidents, cargo damage, improper loading/unloading of cargo, and other factors that may have led to an accident. This opportunity is ideal for a professional who is passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise to support the legal process. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough investigations and provide expert analysis in truck and CMV accident cases. Prepare clear, detailed, concise, and defensible expert reports based on applicable regulations and evidence-based analysis. Provide expert testimony in depositions and trials, effectively conveying complex and regulatory information to non-experts.

Review discovery materials to assess compliance issues and apply information to the case. Collaborate with Evidence Solutions' experts and case management and marketing teams when needed. Qualifications 15+ years of experience in the commercial trucking industry.

Bachelor's degree preferred; applicants with an Associate's degree or High School Diploma will be considered if they have related experience. Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations required. CDL Class A with endorsements preferred.

OSHA accident investigation training preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
