Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding career? We're seeking a dedicated part time seasonal Mixed Animal Technician to join our amazing team!
At Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic-Luling, we strive to be a place of comfort for our clients and their animals-through both sickness and health. In this role, you'll support our team in caring for a variety of species, including equine, cattle, and other farm animals.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Patient Handling & Restraint - Safely managing a variety of animals, from small pets (dogs & cats) to farm animals and livestock (equine, cattle, and more).
  • Clinic Maintenance - Assisting with cleaning, laundry, and general clinic upkeep to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Medication Administration & Prescriptions - Administering medications and preparing prescriptions as directed.
  • Supporting the Veterinary Team - Assisting our Veterinarians and Technicians with procedures, treatments, and patient care.
  • Taking on Projects - Tackling tasks as assigned-with a smile, of course!

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 3 years of mixed animal experience preferred (veterinary setting not required).
  • Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!)
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
  • Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
