Backend Engineer II (Hybrid - Bellevue, WA)
Compensation Range: $130-150K base compensation + equity
Join a fastmoving AI startup building backend systems that power enterprisescale AI agents. We're looking for a Backend Engineer II who loves ownership, moves quickly, and wants to shape how AI automates real HR workflows for global organizations. If you want to build the backend systems that bring AI agents to life-and thrive in a fastpaced, highownership environment-we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Build and own backend services in Python (Flask/FastAPI)
  • Design APIs, data models, and workflow orchestration for AI agents
  • Work across GCP, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Firestore, Elasticsearch
  • Integrate with enterprise systems (HRIS, ticketing, communication tools)
  • Develop LLM orchestration logic and realtime agent interactions
  • Ensure reliability through monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning
  • Ship production code weekly and collaborate across product, frontend, and AI teams
What You Bring
  • 3+ years backend engineering experience
  • Strong Python fundamentals and API design skills
