Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend Developer to build and maintain the server-side components of a custom web application. The backend will process data, integrate with an AWS-based lakehouse, and support frontend interactions through scalable APIs. The system is deployed in an AWS environment using containerized services.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop backend services using Python to support data processing and business logic.
• Integrate backend services with AWS Lakehouse data sources and perform SQL-based data retrieval.
• Build and maintain APIs that support frontend interactions and data exploration features.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Work with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to support automated builds and deployments.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and data scientists.
Required Skills
• Strong experience with Python backend development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases and SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including containerized deployments.
