Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, technology, and fast-paced operations. You will play a critical role in making sure autonomous test vehicles are ready, properly configured, charged, equipped, and available on time for scheduled testing and service operations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving skills, and a "get it done" mentality. If you enjoy combining vehicle operations, logistics, technology, and hands-on technical work, this could be an excellent fit.

What You'll Do

As an Autonomous Vehicle Support Technician, you will:

  • Prepare autonomous vehicles for scheduled testing and service operations across multiple locations.
  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and mission-ready.
  • Coordinate the movement and storage of vehicles, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Perform routine charging of autonomous test vehicles and supporting equipment.
  • Complete vehicle readiness paperwork and maintain accurate operational documentation.
  • Execute mission preparation procedures, including launching software across multiple devices, verifying software and hardware configurations, deploying software when appropriate, and capturing requested data.
  • Identify issues during vehicle preparation and quickly escalate technical or operational concerns.
  • Support vehicle recovery and incident response activities as part of the Incident Response Team.
  • Organize, transport, and maintain readiness of spare-parts inventory.
  • Provide hands-on support to Base Operations technicians with tasks such as fluid changes, part replacements, wiring checks, and basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist with general testing operations, including pre-mission preparation, cone courses, obstacle setup, traffic control, documentation, and support-vehicle driving.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean/excellent driving record
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally up to approximately 30%
  • Strong safety-first mindset and sense of urgency
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving operational environment
  • Interest in autonomous vehicles, automotive technology, fleet operations, testing, or technical operations is highly desirable
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and similar equipment
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout a shift
  • Navigate stairs
  • Push, pull, squat, bend, kneel, and reach as required

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:
