Job description

Electronics Technician - Seasonal

Department: Maintenance
Reports To: General Foreperson/ Electronics Technician Foreperson


About the Job
The Seasonal Electronics Technician keeps systems buzzing by installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment while expertly navigating FCC regulations, tools, vehicles, and the occasional ladder or fall‑protection harness. This role blends sharp problem‑solving, clear communication with all levels of staff, physical hands‑on work, and flexible availability-including nights, weekends, and holidays-to keep operations running smoothly no matter when technology needs saving.

What You'll Do
  • Maintains the park's two-way radio systems including repeaters, transmitters, hand-held radios, and desktop models using standard electronic testing, measuring, and repair equipment.
  • Selects, installs and maintains the park's sound system components, including microphones, speakers, and amplifiers using standard electronic testing, measuring, and repair equipment.
  • Duplicates park music and announcements onto audio media (such as compact discs) using standard recording equipment.
  • Maintains the park's audio, video and electronic equipment including electronic Skeeball alleys, skill games, and shooting gallery components.
  • Responds to the requests of your direct supervisors and managers.
  • Provides guest service according to Worlds of Fun standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Worlds of Fun Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Worlds if Fun's attendance requirements as outlined in Enchanted Parks' attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Enchanted Parks' Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • What We're Looking For
  • Minimum age: 18
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have an interest in Network Administration and Support.
  • Must have Valid Drivers License to operate company vehicles
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate not only with senior management but also with seasonal employees in resolving problems. Communicates with individuals both inside and outside the company.
  • Experience in Qsys is a plus!
  • Basic analytical skills necessary to organize work load to establish priorities.
  • Ability to become familiar with and use fall protection equipment.
  • Ability to read materials (including blueprints and drawings) to interpret and analyze content.
  • Thorough knowledge of FCC regulations and the ability to obtain and maintain an FCC license.

  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds for up to 50 yards in the installation or repair of equipment.
  • Requires ability to operate:
    • Standard hand tools required for the job
    • Vehicles
    • Ladders
    • Measuring equipment, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers
    • Telephones
    • Hand-held two-way radios
  • Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions such as heat and cold
  • Ability to climb work at varying heights in the installation and maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment with appropriate training such as gloves, safety glasses and masks
  • Ability to work with hand tools
  • Ability to work with machinery/equipment
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment
  • Ability to work with chemicals
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask
  • Positive work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Strong teamwork skills and professional behavior
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
