Job description

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Response Coordinator 1 at our office in Montgomery, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coordination of search and rescue efforts with emergency personnel in support of Garmin customers.
This position works a 2/2/3 schedule on 12 hour shifts. The hours are 5:50 pm - 5:50 am.
Essential Functions
  • Answer and manage inbound emergency calls using Garmin's SOS technology, ensuring accurate and timely response coordination
  • Use appropriate protocols, codes, and communication tools to initiate emergency responses and relay critical details to responding agencies
  • Maintain clear, calm, and respectful communication with customers, team members, and public safety partners-even under stressful conditions
  • Accurately document interactions and outcomes; follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in an "Essential Staff" role, including during holidays or emergency events; work onsite using standard office and communications equipment
  • Stay composed, attentive, and effective while navigating emotionally charged or high-stakes situations

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated interest in working with customers when under pressure
  • Highly service oriented with strong active listening skills to effectively understand and address needs
  • Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others
