This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical SEO Manager based in Netherlands.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a global organic growth engine by combining technical SEO expertise, data analysis, and engineering collaboration.
You will work on complex SEO challenges across millions of URLs, multiple markets, and international audiences.
The position sits at the intersection of SEO, technology, and product, giving you direct influence on how users discover and engage with digital products.
You will build scalable systems, automate processes, and develop solutions that improve search visibility and long-term organic performance.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, experimenting with new approaches, and using data and automation to drive measurable growth.
This is a high-impact role within a remote and international environment where your expertise will directly shape SEO strategy and infrastructure.

Accountabilities

The Technical SEO Manager will own the technical foundation behind large-scale organic growth initiatives, working closely with engineering and product teams to build scalable SEO systems, improve search performance, and create automated solutions.

  • Support the development and optimization of large-scale SEO systems, including internal linking, sitemap management, indexability workflows, taxonomy, and automated content optimization.
  • Build custom tools, scripts, scrapers, and dashboards to support SEO analysis, automation, and decision-making.
  • Use AI tools and automation as part of daily workflows to investigate, build, and scale SEO solutions efficiently.
  • Own crawl and indexation health for a high-volume website, identifying and preventing issues through monitoring systems and performance dashboards.
  • Analyze server access logs, crawl data, search performance data, and analytics insights to identify opportunities and technical issues.
  • Diagnose and improve website performance, including page speed, rendering, server response, caching, redirects, and infrastructure-related SEO challenges.
  • Investigate complex technical issues across the full web stack, including browser behavior, CDN performance, edge systems, and search engine interactions.
  • Design, execute, and analyze large-scale SEO experiments to validate improvements and guide rollout decisions.
  • Automate repetitive SEO processes to increase efficiency and allow focus on higher-impact initiatives.
  • Act as the technical bridge between SEO, engineering, and product teams by creating clear requirements, technical documentation, and scalable solutions.
  • Support SEO product initiatives by identifying technical opportunities and defining implementation requirements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled SEO professional with experience managing large-scale organic growth initiatives and collaborating with engineering teams. They combine strong analytical abilities with hands-on technical skills and a pragmatic approach to solving complex problems.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical SEO with proven organic growth results, including experience managing websites with 1M+ indexed URLs and high URL velocity.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams in an agile product environment.
  • Ability to write code and develop tools, automations, and scrapers using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or PHP.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies including HTTP, networking, servers, CDNs, caching, redirects, rendering, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of browser developer tools and the ability to troubleshoot technical SEO issues across the full web stack.
  • Experience working with large datasets, including access logs, Google Search Console data, crawl data, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to build dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights that support SEO decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and the ability to balance technical exploration with practical execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical SEO challenges clearly to developers, product teams, and leadership.
  • Experience with AI-powered SEO tools, LLM-based automation, or building AI-native workflows is a plus.
  • Experience running SEO experiments at scale is preferred.
  • International or multilingual SEO experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with B2C platforms, marketplaces, or high-content-volume websites is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, observability systems, log processing, BigQuery, or similar technologies is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary package aligned with experience and responsibilities.
  • Fully remote position with flexibility to work from anywhere within European time zones.
  • Opportunity to directly impact organic growth reaching millions of users worldwide.
  • Work on large-scale SEO infrastructure and build systems from the ground up.
  • Join an international and diverse team of talented professionals.
  • Supportive environment focused on continuous learning and professional growth.
