What You'll Do
As our Safety Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety programs throughout our manufacturing facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop, write, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses throughout production areas.
  • Track and report safety metrics including incident rates and corrective action completion.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), PPE programs, lockout/tagout procedures, permits, and safety documentation.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee education.
  • Manage contractor safety requirements and monitor compliance while on-site.
  • Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and communication with local emergency agencies.
  • Support OSHA inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
  • Maintain inventory of PPE and safety supplies.
  • Partner with HR, Production, HR, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk and improve workplace safety.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of occupational safety experience in manufacturing, marine manufacturing, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
  • Experience developing and implementing workplace safety programs.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with safety management software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CSP, OSHA 30, CIH, or other professional safety certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of marine manufacturing, ABYC, USCG, or maritime safety standards is a plus.
