Job description

Samsung SDS America is looking for a corporate attorney to join our Legal Team. In this role you will work on a variety of technology transactions while supporting senior attorneys in the team and handling special projects as they arise. You will report directly to the General Counsel, providing a wide array of legal services and guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate service agreements, statements of work, and other technology and general commercial agreements under the guidance of senior attorneys
  • Counsel internal business teams on (i) legal issues relating to the development and provision of managed cloud, IT security, email marketing, content management, and consulting services and (ii) U.S., Canadian, and European privacy laws
  • Provide legal support to various internal departments, including Finance, Marketing, and HR
  • Assist with corporate governance matters and oversee related filings
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and legal research projects
  • Prepare reports for HQ’s Legal team in Korea as needed

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA Accredited Law School
  • Active license to practice law and/or capable of meeting in-house admission requirements in New Jersey
  • 1+ years of experience as in-house counsel or an associate at a law firm
  • Strong project management skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with drafting contracts for technology or other commercial transactions
