Job description

FileCloud is looking for a passionate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team in Canada. You will have 3+ years previous experience working for a Tech vendor in a similar role. As an SDR at Filecloud your primary focus will be to prospect, qualify, and nurture potential leads, converting them into qualified sales opportunities for the Sales Team. This role requires a blend of resilience, communication skills, and a fundamental understanding of the sales process. This role is remote and will require working remotely with other team members.

FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (enterprise file sync and share) platform that provides industry leading compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. FileCloud is a leader in content governance and collaboration for unstructured data, trusted and used worldwide across Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. In addition to its enterprise file sharing solution, FileCloud’s product portfolio also includes Signority (acquired in May 2024), a Canadian-based e-signature and document workflow platform. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.

Key Job Duties:

  • Managing incoming leads from predetermined lead sources
  • Research companies, identify key stakeholders, and gather relevant information to personalize outreach
  • Qualify inbound leads promptly using discovery techniques against a pre-defined criterion
  • Understand the prospect's business challenges, goals, and alignment with the company's solution
  • Successfully book and confirm introductory meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executive team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and interactions in the CRM system
  • Execute targeted follow-up strategies for leads that are not yet sales ready
  • Actively participate in sales team meetings, sharing insights and best practices
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generation

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a customer facing role (BDR, SDR, LDR for a tech vendor)
  • Previous experience in a goal-driven or metric-focused environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Prior work experience in B2B Tech preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in researching companies and contacts using various online tools and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn about the industry, product, and sales techniques, and to quickly implement feedback.
  • A strong team player who can work effectively with Sales & Marketing Team.
