**The preferred locations for this role are New Orleans or Baton Rouge, LA; The Woodlands, TX; Jackson, MS or Little Rock, AR; However, we are open to considering other locations within the Entergy service territory as well.**
**This position may be filled as a Project Manager, Sr Staff - CP or a Capital Projects Manager depending on the qualifications and or the experience of the candidate.**
Job Summary/Purpose
This position leads and oversees project scrubs, focusing on maximizing value while ensuring the quality and rigor of each scrub from start to finish. The role involves:
  • Successfully executing individual project scrubs.
  • Preventing value leakage during these project scrubs, which is critical for maximizing project value.
  • Providing peer-to-peer leadership to the project managers responsible for individual project scrubs.
  • Creating and executing a rolling 12-month schedule for these project scrubs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Maximize project value: Lead and direct individual project scrubs from inception to completion, focusing on maximizing value and eliminating waste. Proactively identify and prevent value leakage to ensure the highest level of rigor and quality is consistently applied to all projects.
  2. Drive project execution and scheduling: Manage a team of project managers to deliver a rolling 12-month schedule of project scrubs, aligning project selection and adjustments with functional leadership and sponsor objectives.
  3. Enhance organizational capability: Build and reinforce scrub capabilities throughout the organization by providing both classroom training and on-the-job coaching to project managers and subject matter experts. Act as a strategic thought partner to project managers across the entire scrub lifecycle.
  4. Ensure governance and accountability: Implement and enforce a robust scrub governance framework. Track the progress of all scrub initiatives, communicate status updates to key stakeholders, and ensure project teams are aligned on project goals and strategic priorities.
    Facilitate collaboration and continuous improvement: Facilitate dynamic scrub workshops to drive collaboration and problem-solving through probing questions. Remove roadblocks, escalate critical issues, and enable the cross-pollination of best practices by engaging with other functional teams.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field OR 4 years of equivalent/related work experience (in addition to Minimum Experience requirement) in lieu of degree.
  • Preferred: Advanced Degree Preferred - MBA, Masters in Engineering, Construction, Project Management.

Minimum experience required of the position
  • Project Manager, Sr Staff - CP: 8 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field
  • Capital Projects Manager: 10 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
  • Subject Matter Expert in project and construction management fundamentals and complicated project problem resolutions.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to transmission lines and substations.
  • History of safe performance, active safety involvement and participation and strong desire for a safer workplace.
  • Supervisory Experience with direct reports or in a matrix organization.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management applications, processes, software and equipment.
  • Understanding of Industry Best Practices.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience, team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
  • Knowledge of Effective Estimating Practices.
