  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient centered care in the perioperative suite by maintaining a sterile environment before and during the surgical procedure. Under the supervision of the perioperative registered nurse, the OR Specialist II staff demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors to maintain a consistent level of practice. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development through teamwork training and continuing education.
