A healthcare facility in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a closed-door setting attached to a behavioral hospital. Operating Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, this per diem (PRN) opportunity offers a professional environment with a moderate script volume averaging 300-400 prescriptions per day. The position requires adaptability and readiness to start promptly.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications in a closed-door pharmacy setting with minimal walk-in traffic
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers in a behavioral hospital environment to ensure safe medication management
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Utilize and document prescriptions in the Enterprise RX system (training provided)
  • Review, interpret, and validate prescriptions efficiently within daily script count targets
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Recent experience as a licensed pharmacist

  • Prior experience or interest in working PRN or part-time within a pharmacy setting
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Enterprise RX software through provided training
Schedule:
