Job description

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available within an independent retail pharmacy setting in Birmingham, AL. This role offers a consistent schedule working 1 to 2 days per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Ideal candidates will bring pharmacy knowledge and customer service skills to ensure smooth daily operations in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions, handling a volume of approximately 180 to 200 scripts daily
  • Utilize Quick Script for order entry efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and cashier to maintain excellent service and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
  • Provide professional guidance, answer patient questions, and offer medication counseling
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Licensed pharmacist in Alabama
  • Pharmacy experience required; retail pharmacy background preferred
  • Recent graduates with pharmacy experience will be considered
  • Ability to work independently within a small team of technicians and support staff
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
