Job description

Weโ€™re looking for Researcher/Writer to research, pitch, and breakdown daily news stories for original video and written content for web distribution. The ideal candidate must possess a background in journalism, political science, or communications. Weโ€™re looking for individuals who have strong writing skills, attention to detail, are fact driven, can provide data without bias, and are able to look at a news story from various perspectives. In addition, weโ€™re looking for someone with a high level of self-sufficiency, strong collaboration & communication skills who is able to adapt to changing show styles, schedules, and feedback.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research news stories
  • Build outlined information quickly
  • Find photo and video assets across the web as needed
  • Work on special assignments, or other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Educational or professional background in journalism, political science, communications, or another related field
  • Highly creative, organized, and able to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lively changing production environment
