Technical Writer, Kilgore/Longview area:
Job Summary:
The Technical Writer will prepare work instructions, operating manuals, engineering bulletins, instruction manuals, how-to guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. Work closely with subject matter experts to produce necessary documents and processes. Support ISO and API documentation required for all business departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Update Work Instructions, Operation Manuals, & other technical documents.
  • Setting up standard sheet formats for technical documents.
  • Support release of the PLM system by participating in trials and documenting processes.
  • Support our Field Service and Production departments by releasing Engineering bulletins.
  • Aid with release of processes for Field Service, Production, Supply Chain & Engineering.
  • Create documentation needed for new product release.
  • Participate in meetings and provide feedback on requirements for documentation.
  • Utilize the PLM to create Manufacturing Process Plans with support from Engineering and Manufacturing.

Additional Job Requirements:
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time to perform computer assisted duties.
  • Ability to support and maintain organized workstation and work folder.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as technical writer or similar role preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into accessible content.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Certificate in technical communication, computer science or other related field preferred.
