Job Summary:
HireTalent is a staffing and recruiting firm seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Documentation Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide documentation initiatives. The role focuses on identifying gaps in standards and procedures, creating and maintaining process documentation, and establishing documentation governance practices to enhance consistency and onboarding effectiveness across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Review existing standards and identify areas where supporting procedures are missing or incomplete.
• Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, and business stakeholders to gather information and document requirements.
• Establish and enforce documentation governance standards, templates, and best practices.
• Organize, centralize, and maintain documentation repositories and knowledge bases.
• Standardize onboarding materials and improve knowledge-sharing processes across teams.
• Conduct documentation audits, gap analyses, and process reviews.
• Ensure documentation remains current, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives through effective documentation practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of Technical Writing, Process Documentation, or Documentation Governance experience.
• Strong experience creating SOPs, procedures, standards, and operational documentation.
• Experience documenting business and technical processes.
• Proven ability to work directly with Product Owners, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
• Experience with documentation repositories such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
