Data Analyst/Report Writer

General Summary: EHR Data Analyst/Report Writer is responsible for data administration, analysis, and reporting from Thrive’s EHR (electronic health record) system.  NOT A REMOTE POSITION 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support electronic medical records from an application analyst/reporting perspective.
  • Develop reports using Crystal, SQL Report Writer, Power BI, and Access
  • Develop requirements and projects based on feedback from clinicians, end users, and stakeholders
  • Develop complex SQL scripts, views, and stored procedures
  • SQL tuning & data profiling
  • Interest in becoming a content expert in healthcare reporting databased and warehouse.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period.
  • Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.

Education, Experience, Competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in related field. Certifications a plus
  • 3-5 years experience in a healthcare setting
  • Understands a wide range of interpretive analysis tools (e.g. trend analysis, spreadsheets, comparisons, graphs, summary versus detail charts, drill down, correlations, and exception analysis.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people.

Certifications, Licenses Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
