This is a contract job opportunity. Position: Phlebotomist Location: Sun City CA and area (float job) Schedule: 6AM to 6PM- M-F Shifts will only be 8 hours but depending on coverage, may need to arrive at 6AM or end as late as 6 PM Projected duration: 3 months Pay rate: $20.20 to $22.20 per hour depending on experience Benefits are available Will float to Menifee, Perris, Hemmit, Temecula, Fall Brook, and Wildomar locations Requires a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Summary: The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations.
Position Responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Attend annual department trainings. Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states. Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High School Diploma or GED minimum 2 years of experience
