Job description

Provides basic technical support to programming technician team responsble for programming of test equipment.  Works on smaller projects - script execution and basic automation.

This is an onsite role requiring 5 days per week onsite.

  • Generally 2 Years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the test automation systems.
  • Aptitude to learn programming automated laboratory test equipment for battery or energy systems.  Familiar with the concept of programming to limits.
  • Exposure to Controller Area Network (CAN) communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge

What we offer:

  • Total Rewards:  We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $49,800-65,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

  • Read and understand data sheets and test plans.
  • Utilize existing MORPHEE templates and frameworks to support test automation programming while assisting in execution of battery test sequences for performance, cycling, aging, safety, abuse, and validation testing.
  • Support CANbased communication between test equipment, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and devices under test.
  • Support the Monitoring, acquisition, logging, and validation of electrical, thermal, and communication data during battery testing.
  • Generate automated test reports, data summaries, and traceability records.
  • Document test software, CAN configurations, test procedures, and system architectures.
  • Support commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement of battery laboratory test equipment.
  • Integrate laboratory hardware including battery cyclers, power supplies, loads, DAQ systems, environmental chambers, and safety systems.
  • Collaborate with Lab engineers, and lab technicians to support test execution.
