Job Summary:
Kratos Defense and Security Solutions is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join their team focused on spacecraft ground system solutions. The role involves testing new and existing applications, preparing and executing acceptance tests, and collaborating with developers to ensure quality solutions for the warfighter.
Responsibilities:
• Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with vendor support
• Develops and improves operation procedures, scripts, for system testing
• Define and propose SATCOM operational and operator requirements and design approaches to satisfy them
• Interface with the customer and operational users to define operational requirements
• Effectively work with a cross functional engineering team
• Be a strong team player
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current Security+ Certification or required within 6 months of hire.
• Software testing background
• Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working independently and with others.
• Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form.
• Current Secret level clearance required
• Required to either be able to obtain a TS/SCI, or currently have a TS/SCI
• Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with vendor support
• Develops and improves operation procedures, scripts, for system testing
• Define and propose SATCOM operational and operator requirements and design approaches to satisfy them
• Interface with the customer and operational users to define operational requirements
• Effectively work with a cross functional engineering team
• Be a strong team player
Preferred:
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in Telemetry and Commanding of spacecrafts and/or EPOCH Product Suite
• Knowledge of Command and Control Consolidated (CCS-C) system
• Knowledge of Air Force Test Regulations and experience in Air Force formal testing is a plus
• Current Top Secret level clearance, with SCI eligibility
