Job description

Are you the kind of QA professional who doesn't just find bugs - you track them to their source, document them with surgical precision, and hand developers everything they need to fix them fast? If you live in Chrome DevTools, have opinions about Playwright vs. Cypress, and get genuinely bothered when UTM parameters go missing, keep reading.
About the Role
We're hiring a Technical QA Specialist on a W-9 contract basis to own the quality and integrity of our web applications and digital campaigns. You'll work at the intersection of manual testing and light development - digging into browser behavior, verifying data flows, and building automation that actually gets maintained. This role is ideal for someone based in Las Vegas, NV, with the ability to come into the office on a monthly basis.
CONTRACT TYPE
W-9 Independent Contractor
COMPENSATION
$120,000 - $130,000 / Year
LOCATION
Las Vegas, NV (Preferred)
ON-SITE
Monthly office visits required
What You'll Do
  • Web & Email QA: Test web applications and HTML email campaigns across browsers, devices, and email clients for functionality, visual accuracy, and cross-platform consistency.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Inspect console errors, analyze API request/response traffic in DevTools, and isolate root causes before escalating to developers - with clean, reproducible evidence.
  • Data & Analytics Verification: Audit backend systems, admin dashboards, and reporting tools to ensure data tracks correctly and flows accurately between platforms.
  • Light Automation: Write, run, and maintain end-to-end test scripts using Playwright or Cypress - building coverage that actually gets used, not abandoned.
  • Bug Reporting: Translate vague user complaints into structured, developer-ready tickets with step-by-step reproduction steps, environmental details, and relevant logs.
What You Bring
  • Web Fundamentals: Solid command of HTML, CSS, JSON, and HTTP status codes - you understand what you're testing, not just whether it passed.
  • DevTools Proficiency: You're comfortable in Chrome and Firefox DevTools (Console, Network, Application/Storage tabs) and use them instinctively during testing.
  • Automation Experience: You've written or maintained tests in Playwright or Cypress using JavaScript or TypeScript. You know why hard-coded waits are a smell.
  • Browser Behavior Knowledge: Deep understanding of caching, cookies, local storage, and how these impact u
