What is a script coordinator?

Script Coordinators are professionals in the television and film industry responsible for managing the flow of scripts between writers, producers, and production departments. They ensure that script versions are up-to-date, properly formatted, and distributed to the necessary team members. Script Coordinators also check for continuity, track script changes, and may handle legal clearances or proofreading. Their organizational skills are essential to keep production running smoothly and to prevent costly errors. This role acts as a bridge between the creative and logistical sides of script production.

What are the main challenges a script coordinator faces when managing multiple script versions in a fast-paced production?

Script Coordinators often juggle multiple script drafts and revisions, especially in television or film productions with tight deadlines. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that all departments—such as production, wardrobe, and post-production—are working from the most current script version. This requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proactive communication to prevent costly errors or confusion on set. Utilizing script management software and maintaining clear records are vital strategies for overcoming these challenges.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a script coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Script Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of script formatting and production processes, often supported by experience in television or film production. Proficiency in scriptwriting software such as Final Draft, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with production tracking systems is typically required. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities help you efficiently manage script revisions and liaise between writers, producers, and other departments. These skills are crucial to ensure script accuracy, smooth workflow, and effective communication throughout the production process.

Job description

Responsibilities
Related Digital is seeking a Prefabrication & Constructability Manager to lead its prefabrication and constructability initiatives at the program level across the full project portfolio. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Design, OFCI vendors, General Contractors, Trade Partners, Commissioning teams, Field Operations, and the WSFO team to develop, track, and execute prefabrication strategies that support schedule, quality, logistics, and installation objectives. The right candidate will bring deep field construction knowledge, strong cross-functional coordination skills, and a systems-oriented approach to driving modularization across a high-velocity data center development program. This is an on-site role based in Dallas, Texas, with travel to project sites across the portfolio.
We'll Trust You To
  • Develop and maintain Related Digital's prefabrication strategy across the project portfolio, establishing standards for OFCI and OFOI modularization, packaging, and delivery.
  • Conduct constructability reviews of design documents, identifying field execution risks, sequencing conflicts, and opportunities for prefabrication or design optimization across mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes.
  • Develop and manage install sequencing plans that account for site logistics, access constraints, crane picks, and trade coordination, ensuring prefab solutions are executable in the field.
  • Lead the development and coordination of Factory Witness Test (FWT) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) scripts for OFCI equipment, ensuring commissioning readiness prior to delivery.
  • Manage the interface between OFCI vendors, General Contractors, and Trade Partners, resolving integration challenges and maintaining alignment on scope, methodology, and schedule across all prefab workstreams.
  • Evaluate and develop relationships with OFCI integrator partners, assessing vendor capabilities, capacity, and fit against Related Digital's project requirements and delivery standards.
  • Maintain a lessons learned program across prefab and constructability efforts, capturing field feedback and integrating findings into future design standards, vendor requirements, and execution planning.
  • Conduct delivery readiness evaluations prior to project mobilization, confirming that prefab scopes, logistics plans, and installation sequences are fully aligned and executable.
  • Maintain portfolio-wide visibility into all active prefabrication efforts, tracking progress, risks, and milestones to ensure projects realize the intended benefits of off-site manufacturing and modularization.

Qualifications
  • Approximately 4 to 5 years of experience in construction management, prefabrication, or mission-critical facilities; data center experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with OFCI and OFOI prefabrication strategies, including modularization standards, vendor coordination, and field installation planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of constructability review processes, BIM/VDC coordination, and design-to-field integration across mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines.
  • Familiarity with FWT and FAT processes for OFCI equipment, including script development and offsite commissioning coordination.
  • Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator, with experience working across design, procurement, field operations, and contractor teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent prefab workstreams across a growing project portfolio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
