Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation software is typically required. What are scribes and what do they do?

Scribes are professionals who assist healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters in real-time during medical visits. They enter information into electronic health records (EHRs), including patient histories, exam findings, test results, and treatment plans, allowing the provider to focus more on patient care.
