Pay: $21.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (Training on 1st Shift Required)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Davenport Screw Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Clearwater, FL. This position requires hands-on experience setting up and operating mechanical multi-spindle automatic screw machines and is not a CNC machining or programming role.
Responsibilities


Set up and operate Davenport automatic screw machines for production.
Install, adjust, and change tooling, cams, tooling slides, and machine components.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to manufacture precision parts.
Monitor machine performance and make mechanical setup adjustments to ensure quality and maximize productivity.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain quality standards while meeting production goals.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures.


Qualifications


Previous experience setting up and operating Davenport automatic screw machines is required.
Experience with mechanical cam-driven, multi-spindle automatic screw machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and machine setup skills.
Experience working in a high-volume precision machining environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Important Note
This is a mechanical automatic screw machine position—not a CNC machining, CNC programming, or CAD/CAM role. Candidates whose experience is limited to CNC equipment or G-code programming will not be considered.
