What is the difference between Screening vs Background Check?
| Aspect | Screening | Background Check |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Initial assessment of candidate qualifications and fit | In-depth review of criminal, employment, and educational history |
| Process | Preliminary evaluation, often includes resume review and interviews | Detailed investigation, often involves verifying records and conducting checks |
| Timing | Early stage of hiring process | Later stage, before final hiring decision |
| Credentials | May include basic certifications or qualifications | Involves verification of credentials, criminal records, and employment history |
