Job description

Position: 1st class Electrician

Job Location: Pascagoula, MS

Hutco Branch: Moss Point, MS

Rate of Pay: $42.00 per hour and $147.00 per-diem for those who qualify.

Description:

Electricians are responsible for the layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ships power. Electricians utilize an assortment of hand and power tools, a variety of test equipment along with a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings, and schematics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial of marine electrical field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 1 year of shipboard experience in sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc.
  • Must be able to read marine blue prints
  • Must be able to work from standard and metric specifications
  • Must have wiring hook up and fiber optics experience.
  • Must be able to work any shift.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen (HFT) and background check.
