Job description

Subject Matter Expert | Printmaking: Lithography + Screen Printing
Salary: $3,500 per course built
Location: Remote (USA)
Open Until Filled
Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to create curriculum for an online course titled, Printmaking: Lithography and Screen Printing, a studio course within Fine Arts. Lithography and Screen Printing introduces students to two printmaking processes: lithography, where the natural repulsion of oil and water becomes a mark-making tool, and screen printing, a stencil-based process rooted in layered color and graphic clarity. Students develop technical skills in image preparation, registration, and editioning while building a working understanding of how each process shapes image-making decisions. Drawing, color relationships, and conceptual development are explored through direct studio investigation. RMCAD seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to write the course curriculum, ensuring it’s prepared for launch.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and fellow faculty members to develop an engaging and innovating course
  • Mentor and support students in their creative and technical endeavors, fostering an applied and experiential learning environment
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of our Fine Arts Program
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Fine Arts sculpture or related field
  • Experience in course design and development processes for in-person and online delivery
  • Proven track record of successful experiential and applied approaches to student learning
  • Experience or knowledge of fine arts education at the college level, and proficiency in using learning management systems and online teaching tools to support instruction

Review of applications will begin as soon as possible and continue until the position is filled. Ideally, RMCAD aims for the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to construct the course, ensuring it’s prepared for launch by the Spring A semester.
