WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Line Cook, you'll prepare fresh, high-quality meals while helping create an exceptional dining experience for our residents, families, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare fresh, high-quality meals using scratch cooking techniques and established recipes
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, soups, desserts, baked goods, and daily specials
• Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards are met
• Practice proper food handling, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety procedures
• Set up and break down kitchen workstations efficiently
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen equipment and work areas
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food storage procedures
• Restock food, supplies, and ingredients throughout each shift
• Work closely with the Culinary Director and Dining Services Team to deliver exceptional meals
• Assist with holiday meals, resident events, family gatherings, and special community celebrations
• Help create memorable dining experiences our residents look forward to every day

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a restaurant, scratch kitchen, commercial kitchen, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or food service environment preferred
• Experience preparing meals from scratch required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Culinary education is a plus
• Food Handler's Permit required (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong knife skills and the ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to accurately read and follow recipes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Healthcare Dining, Restaurant, or Hospitality experience is a plus but not required
