The Opportunity

We are looking for a Non-Ferrous Scrap Yard Buyer and Small Scale Operator to join our team in Locust Grove. This role is ideal for someone with scrap metal experience who wants to deepen their expertise in non-ferrous metals, work directly with customers, and play a key part in daily yard operations.

In this position, you will own the process of evaluating, grading, and pricing incoming non-ferrous material while delivering strong customer service and supporting a safe, efficient yard. What You'll Do
  • Greet and assist customers as they unload non-ferrous scrap material at the small scale
  • Weigh, grade, and evaluate non-ferrous metals (such as copper, brass, aluminum, and wire) using proper techniques and tools
  • Provide accurate, fair pricing based on current market values and company standards while documenting transactions correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area, following all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Assist with general labor and processing tasks in the non-ferrous division, including moving, sorting, and preparing material

  • Within your first few months, you consistently and accurately grade and price non-ferrous materials with minimal supervision
  • Customers recognize you for friendly, efficient service and return regularly because of the experience you provide
