CT Construction is looking for Concrete Foreman to lead our Skilled Construction and Facility Maintenance department based in Warren, MI. If you are looking for consistent hours, competitive pay and year-round work, CT Construction may be the right opportunity for you!
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Identify, Train & hold employees accountable for their daily tasks
  • Communicate to superiors about equipment and manpower needed to meet schedules and deadlines
  • In charge of measuring, procuring and ordering of site materials
  • Effectively identify concrete mixes and determine procedures to achieve desired finish and results.
  • Identify specifications and project plans
  • Complete daily reports, verify/approve employee timesheets and asses jobsite due to weather conditions, sub-contractors, delays and activities performed
  • Assist in building/positioning concrete forms and dismantling after pours
  • Create and follow through with the completion of the pre-pour checklist
  • Have a clear understanding of maintenance checks and operating skills of equipment on the job
  • Grade dirt and concrete effectively and accurately
  • Maintain a 7:00 am start time with a goal of 55 hours or more per week not to exceed 65 hours
  • Manage and communicate all overtime of 60 hours or more to your superior, keeping weekly hours below 65 hours of individual employees
  • Enforce travel policy, employees shall not travel before the hours of 5:00 am and after the hours of 11:00pm unless absolutely necessary
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas/diesel, oil, water, lights and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions
  • Report any mechanical problems that you encounter with company vehicles/equipment to leadership and hold employees accountable
  • Keep the jobsite clean and in working order
  • Turn in receipts for all scrap metal, aggregate and concrete deliveries
  • Know the whereabouts of suppliers and products along the front range
  • Safely unload and secure equipment/attachments to transport
  • Organize all materials/tools in shop and trucks on the jobsite
  • Assign equipment operators their tasks, facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of all machinery, equipment and materials, making sure that employees are properly trained to operate and maintain equipment
  • Instruct/direct CDL driver's on where to pick up and drop off materials
  • May have to take after hour phone calls and must be capable to make and discuss decisions
  • Be able to problem solve and perform tasks from other job descriptions
  • The employer holds the right to change job descriptions as needed

Qualified candidates must have the following:
  • Several years of Construction Management/Leadership experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record/Driving Record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen/physical
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds for sustained distances
  • Able to stand, walk, crouch stoop and sit for varying times during shifts up to 12 hours long
